VANTAGE is an ongoing programme of events, held at Leeds Valley Park in the UK. 2013 saw over 60 Northern artists exhibited across two multi-artform awarded events. More than 500 visitors attended these two events with winning artists receiving a total of £1500 in prize money (VANTAGE Art Prize 2013) & a collaborative residency in the Hammersmith borough of London (VANTAGE:rez).

 

VANTAGE; now in its third incarnation, focuses on a commission based structure designed to support emerging artists working across a broad spectrum of Live Art practices. VANTAGE has always championed the inclusion of time-based work as a valid form of Art to be considered alongside more established artforms such as sculpture or photography. VANTAGE 3: Live Art Edition recognises how influential time-based artwork has become in the landscape of contemporary art, acknowledging the need for more platforms to nurture and develop the wealth of talent drawn to this area of work. 

 

VANTAGE is committed to providing space, technical support, marketing and networking opportunities to artists through our events. In addition to our programme we operate an open door policy and would like to hear from any artists or organisations wishing to use our space for their projects.
